My First Blog (by Ellie)
Hi, I’m Ellie, or Eloise as my mom calls me when I’m naughty.
As of today (5/19) I’m going to be a tripawd ! I don’t know this yet, but thats what mom keeps telling me.
She also tells me that we’re going to go swimming a lot this summer! I am very excited for that.
I can tell mommy is nervous, anesthesia reactions and infection are the main things.
I tell her, I’m going to be fine, as long as I’m with you, I am good.
I’m just happy to have this really broken leg off of me. It hurts.
Someone please tell my mom that I’m going to be okay,
So i don’t have to watch her cry everyday.
P.S. She tells me that this is less hard for her than It was to not know what to do after the accident up until my X-Ray yesterday.

Hey Mom! Ellie is going to be OK, no matter what happens. That’s what dogs do. They be OK. fear uncertainty doubt and regret are silly human emotions that will only make matters worse.

My little girl just had the surgery a week ago! After this one week she is almost back to her regular self, minus the pain. Everything will be ok, and the time of recovery although stressful will fly by. Each day when you see the progress Ellie makes, the tears will turn into smiles!
